He would move along until he felt he picked up the odd aroma of metal, or odd aroma in general. Once he found a spot he would carefully dig, not wanting to damage whatever he had found. If he didn't think it was interesting enough he would leave it, but if he had any thought of it being liked by others he would shove it in his leather satchel. He had found two items so far which was a start, but he hoped to find more. He hoped to have a decent enough stock before he pulled his pack together so that he could immediately start trading relationships with other packs. He wanted to get them established first so that they could work on filling the empty spots in their stocks and surviving their first winter.
His attention was drawn to the bark not far from him, calling out to let him know of the other wolf's presence. She was of more earth like tones compared to himself and seemed young like himself. She was confident in how she approached him, unafraid of the interaction she may have with him. A friendly smile appeared on his face as he tail wagged. She stopped a respectful distance before asking what he was doing.
"My dad called it treasure hunting," he said. "You hunt things that are shiny and attractive."
