It's a beautiful day in the Neighborhood

Ashiel waltzed gracefully into the prairie. It was a lovely autumn day in Boreas, just the right temperature in addition to being dry. Rain had been falling steadily over the canyon and the king needed a break from it. Ashiel had no plans in mind other than stretching his limbs and surveying the territories that made up the southern portion of Boreas. He knew his mother desperately wanted to hunt the bison of the south but he wasn't quite sure it was worth the trip himself but he figured he might as well see what was to be seen.

Ashiel's pace slowed into a careful, intent stalking as he eyed some deer in the distance. They seemed, at first, unaware of his presence but then one caught sight of him and stood there watching him intently, its ears flicking forward before suddenly the small herd bolted. He shrugged. He was here merely to observe, not to hunt. As he continued on his way he noticed a large earthen male with white markings. Hmmm? Now what was this? He smelt of pack. Ashiel shifted his course to stride over to the stranger.
