The gargantuan male had been hunting nearby, and he had just finished his hunt. Ace made his way back to the oasis, a young jack rabbit dangling from his jaws. It had been a successful hunt out here so far. He had managed to chase down a few jack rabbits and though he was full, he figured he would bring this one back as a snack for later. As he got closer to where he had last met his brother, however, he stopped. The wind had picked up, bringing to him his brothers familiar scent. Nostrils flared as he picked it out among the scent of the fresh kill in his jaws and the warm sand and air. So, Elias had returned? For what purpose, he wondered. He had a fleeting idea, Maybe Elias had come back to get his ass beat, or maybe something had happened? Whatever the case, Acere wouldn't keep him waiting much longer.
Large paws carried him over the shifting sands and up to the top of the dunes. Crimson gaze found his darker counterpart down below, and Ace couldn't help but grin. Stalking forward slowly and quietly, he sought to sneak up on Elias undetected. But he wasn't quite sure how sneaky he could be with his large size and bulk, but he'd try nonetheless. When he felt he was close enough, he acted like he was going to charge Elias. If only to surprise him, act like he was about to get knocked over. But Ace stopped just short of a foot or so away before dropping the rabbit and grinning. "Surprise seeing you back so soon. Did you miss me that much?" Eyes narrowed playfully then, grin growing wider. "Or did you come to finally get your ass kicked?"
