A Lost Princess
Somehow the rustic woman had stumbled upon a beautiful landscape that dazzled her dual colored orbs. Makani sat on the edge of the vegetation and water's edge, her head tilted up so that she could take in the scene completely. A giant mountain stood before her form, reaching towards the heavens while also spurting out freezing cold water to the ground below. Wind and mist from the waterfall blew past the woman, causing ruffles in her hairs and a slight dampness to the outer hairs of her coat. But she didn't mind. It was evident that winter was going to be making it's approach very soon anyway; autumn air growing colder and the plant life was beginning to shut down in preparation for the upcoming frosts.
Though Makani didn't quite care for winter, as it brought with it less food and more complications, her thicker fur at least didn't let her freeze to death. No, thick hairs kept her warm and comfortable during these chilling months, whereas it became rather taxing during the summer months. Two different shades of blue watched as water spurted from the top of the waterfall and raced toward the ground at an alarming rate, only to hit the water's surface with a constant, thunderous roar. From there the water calmed and began to still, allowing the softest of ripples to pass as it approached the water's edge. There, Makani's gaze fell upon her own features, which reminded her so much of her beloved siblings, who she missed very much.
