He'd left earlier that morning to see if there was anyone to spar at the battlefield, but his search yielded no interesting prospects. It was a little chilly when he set off but once the sun rose the light frost that hardly clung to the ground was easily melted away in what seemed like only a few minutes. Now the air was warm and the sun shone above, making it an all around pleasant day as far as Amos was concerned.
Too bad he wasn't feeling terribly pleasant himself. The young man walked home with his head hanging a little lower than normal, batting at a small rock as he padded through the grass. Honestly ever since he saw his mother again before joining he'd been feeling a bit... off. He hid it well most of the time, but today he wasn't as good of an actor. Today he was just a somewhat upset and exasperated Amos.
Arriving back at the wall, it was only when he reentered the pack lands and spotted a familiar red form not too far off that his mood began to improve. Tail wagging and an amiable expression playing at his face he would approach the alpha with a smile, "How are you today, Regulus?" he asked.
