Dance on the Shimmering Sands [Amos]

Turning his head to the side as she sent a few drops of water flying at him in her wild shaking, Amos chuckled before following the pale girl back to shore. Clams, she explained, liked to burrow under the sand. He frowned a bit at this, asking, "How exactly does something that covers itself in sand come out good to eat?" He was skeptical of the whole clam thing, but, he'd probably try it if they found one. He was nothing if not curious to a fault, though on second thought having something spit at him also didn't sound too great. What was Aurielle getting them into?
Following her, Amos shook his dark pelt out briefly before padding along the damp, water darkened sand to join the search for these mysterious clam things. Eyeing the spot she pointed to, he shrugged lightly. "I don't think crabs hide under the sand very far. Must be clam."
There was only a moments pause before he was right there with her, helping his friend unearth whatever might be waiting for them beneath the sand. Maybe they'd find something cooler than clams! One could hope, right? Not that he even knew what these water-spitters looked like yet, but, there were probably plenty of cooler things to find. Toes spread wide to aid in shoveling up clumps of damp, shimmering sand, sending it flying off behind him.
It was Aurielle who first hit something, and Amos moved slightly closer to inspect the mystery thing alongside her. Wait, wood? He couldn't think of any sea-creatures that looked wooden, so… Huh. "I dunno, guess we'll have ta' dig it up to find out!" He asserted with a bright smile made all the brighter by the sunlight hitting his ivory fangs. Hopping right back into digging, his legs worked harder, faster, more aggressively as he sought to quickly unearth whatever this was so the prize would be on full display.
Slowly the object took shape, becoming more rectangular, and gaining a form as he found one corner and began to dig down the side of the wood object. So far it was still too covered in sand to make out much detail, but they'd fix that later supposing they could get it back out of this hole.
