OOC: Elias might need it. ROFL.
Elias' persistence was truly something remarkable, his jaws never once releasing their vice of a hold on the flesh of the bear's shoulders. He could hear the other wolves running around the beast, making their attacks. He could feel the bear jerking, swatting and sidestepping in an angry frustration to get the titanic wolf off of him. Then he heard the loud thwap that the bear hit one of them with, and the inevitable whomp of her landing. He remembered that feeling, the impact of a bear's paw. They were strong creatures, and he only hoped she'd managed to avoid the claws.
It was like the scar on his chest was coming to life, fueling his heart with a revitalized need for vengeance. He loathed these creatures with a deeply seeded passion, something Ruina wolves were once known for. His toes still gripped into the fur of the bear, talons embedded into the skin to the best of their abilities. He could feel it moving around beneath him with a purpose and his muscles tensed as he braced himself for what he suspected was coming next.
With the bear's front paw freshly wounded, it was held up close to his chest. With his back Achilles' tendon severed, his weight was forced to primarily rest his weight on the other side. Elias growled as he lunged deeper into his bite while the beast was still level, resecuring his hold. The polar bear matched his growl and released a frustrating roar just before attempting to stand on his back legs, weight favoring the side of his good one. Elias could barely adjust to this steep of an incline, his toes desperately scratching at the back of the bear to try and find leverage for him to support his weight on. He was slipping.
His jaws could not hold his entire weight and eventually started to tear out of their hold, and Elias was succumbing to the will of gravity quite quickly. At one final attempt to do damage to the ursine's back, he thrashed his skull side to side and ripped through whatever flesh he could just before his teeth disconnected with those shreds entirely. His talons scraped along the back to try and slow his fall, creating bleeding vales left behind by each one. When he landed, it was hardly with any grace.
Elias' back paws connected with the earth first, but his weight coming down on top of them barely had enough foundation. He fell on to his left side, but it seemed he was not the only one having balancing issues. The bear teetered in front of him, a towering giant trying to support his whole weight haphazardly on his good paw. Elias' eyes went wide as he realized what was happening, his limbs scrambling to find their placement beneath him. He barely managed to get to his paws when the weight of the bear came crashing down on top of his hips, immediately slamming him down into the grass.
His front limbs worked to pull him out from underneath the beast, digging into the earth and desperately trying to overcome the weight- but it was too great. For now, at least, Elias was trapped.
