His brother had moved with rapid speed, and Acere's eyes widened a little with surprise. It had been a long time since he last fought his brother, and he was pleased to find that he had improved considerably. He had succeeded in forcing Elias' limbs to straighten out, Ace's own claws curled into his brother's neck fur as he maintained his grip. He gagged when he felt Elias shove his muzzle into his mouth, but Ace wasn't going to let his brother get the upper hand. Not if he could help it, anyway. With his lower jaw unable to really put pressure into his bite and at a disadvantage, Ace would hold his position for a moment longer, waiting for the opportune moment to retaliate.

And luckily for him, Elias would give him that moment.

As Elias' hind legs came at his underside, he pushed forward with his own hind legs in an attempt to shove Elias down as fast and as hard as he could towards the ground. He loosened his grip from Elias' neck, bringing his own forelegs back to his body for the time being. He would also pull his head back in an effort to dislodge his brothers hold, shaking his own head to free himself before worse damage could be done. He felt teeth rake across his tongue, but the damage was moderate as he twisted his head to his left so that Elias' snout was no longer in his mouth. He tasted the metallic tang of his own blood now, and in the light of a good fight, he quickly swiped his bleeding tongue across his muzzle, staining it red.

As the pair went crashing to the ground, Ace quickly made sure his defenses were in place. Hackles were raised along his spine, eyes narrowed, tattered ears pinned tightly to his crown. He tucked his chin to guard his neck, hind toes splayed and his hind legs still hip-width apart. He would quickly tuck his tail, guarding the sensitive organs that were there. Tensing his abdominal muscles, he let out a grunt as Elias' hind paws struck him square in the gut, but now it was Ace's turn. The fire of battle was clear in his eyes as he quickly made his move now that his brother had made an error.

Forelimbs that had been temporarily tucked closer to his own body, now straightened out as he sought to bring his paws crashing down straight towards Elias' stomach, just below the rib cage. He would seek to put as much force as he could into his attack, claws splayed as he sought to scratch them down the slope of Elias' chest as he did so. Simultaneously, his head struck forward, jaws gaping open as he aimed to show Elias just how fatal his error could be. His jaws sought a grip on either side of Elias' unguarded throat just under the hinge of his jaws, with top fangs on the right side of his brother's neck and lower jaw aiming for the left side of his throat. He wanted to scare Elias, to let him know that what he had tried to do was risky, and it very well may have cost him his life. Lastly, Ace would bring his own hind paws forward and towards Elias' gut. He would try to mimic a rabbits kick, seeking to land a strike on his brothers tender stomach. Perhaps that combined with his earlier move with his forelimbs (if successful), he hoped to potentially drive Elias' air out from his body and force him to submit.
