you think the world is alright
Solana had finally made her way out of the terrible, awful cold of the north. Not that she was much happier out here; it was still cold... just not as cold. She was still weak as hell and her terrible heart ache had come back with a fierce passion. Seemed she'd have to live with it for the rest of her life, some part of the woman wondered if she'd ever love any ever again but she drove that thought from her brain. She wasn't exactly in a rush to forget Echo, in fact the mere idea of moving on felt like a betrayal... and hadn't she betrayed Echo enough? The woman slowed as she approached the strange curtain like trees. She had seen nothing like this before; even in autumn they were lush and the sound of running water caught her attention. She'd come to learn that in these lands water tended to run free and it brought a slight quirk of her lips to think of quenching her thirst so freely. The woman pushed through the draping fronds, feeling the leaves tug at her limp fur as she passed through them. Solana was assaulted by the heady scents of lush foliage, something else she'd yet to acclimatize too; and under it was the scent of another wolf and as she raised her eyes Solana felt her chest flutter for a moment, before she calmed herself. The woman before her at a glance could have been mistaken for Echo though upon closer inspection they were not nearly as identical as she had at first thought. Though the stranger was certainly very pretty. Solana allowed a smirk to pull across her face, easily slipping behind one of her many masks that she had once wore to lower a mark's guard... now she wore it to hide the way her chest felt hollow upon the case of mistaken identity. "I'm not intruding am I?" She asked, her voice as smooth as silk, even if it sounded a little tired. |
