A Little Party Never Killed Nobody

Something seemed to stop the stranger from calling Elias by anything in particular, so Elias spoke up to inform him.
The way Elias' eyes locked on Dumois' the way a fox locks on a rabbit in the pause just before the chase, he was incredibly attentive to this all too familiar way of speaking. It had been so long since he had run into any like-minded individuals, and yet since his decision to raise Ruina's reign once again, it seemed they had been lured to him. Perhaps... it was the exact power of the land this man declared as hallowed, though that was no new information to Elias himself- he was impressed that this stranger seemed to share the same understanding without any prior meetings.
Elias was slightly skeptical, wondering if all that this man said were true- it seemed awfully akin to Elias' own interests, how was he to know this wasn't a bait? Elias lifted his head back when Dumois asked to stay, his ruby gaze narrowing slightly as he peered down at him as if to study him with obvious intentions of assessment. Elias was just about to turn him away when the sound of crackling earth came from the mountain, and somewhere deep below his paws came a rumbling echo that sent vibrations up to the mountain king's heart. He paused for a moment and looked up to Volkan's peak- now bellowing ash out into the sky backlit by the embers climbing the mountain's core.
Elias looked back to Dumois for a moment before he spoke,
He was very interested in this man and his pet, in the souls that he could speak to, and the reaction he seemed to bring to the Mountain.
Without any other word, he left the stranger to decide for himself what to do from here, though he wouldn't have objected to seeing how the man's pet could help them in a hunt or capture.
Disclaimer: Elias suffers from schizophrenia and occasionally has violent outbursts.
