He was still mentally reeling from last night, what had happened before the storm. He had a niece and he had no clue what kind of person she was. He wanted to get to know her in hopes of having that family like relationship with her. Maybe he even had more family out there that he hadn't met yet. There was so much he wanted to find out and so many questions that buzzed through his mind. He had started rather early with his duties, getting his patrols done and even catching a wounded young deer for him and hie Niece to share.
He was excited and nervous at the same time. It had been so long since he had actually seen his sister that he felt horrible that he hadn't known she was around here. He also wasn't even sure if his Niece would be willing to get to know him. If that was the case at least he would be overjoyed to have at least met her and attempted to get to know her. He headed back from his short hunt with a spring in his step, his mind focused on finding the den Derecho had spent the night in.
He used his nose to find the den and when he arrived he gently laid the kill on the ground and taking a seat. He let out a calling bark then patiently waited.
