I think I need my own parade

After eyeballing the weird sand for a bit and scanning the horizon to find much of the island looking pretty barren, Amos would opt to walk along the strange green beach for a while and see if maybe there were weirdly colored sea creatures to go with the sand or something. He didn't have to walk long before he heard splashing water up ahead. Was someone splashing around and enjoying the sun or something? Never one to leave his curiosity unsated, Amos trotted over to see what was going on.
When he found the source of the sound he wasn't sure what to make of it at first. The water was churning but it took a bit before he could make out who or what was in there among the frothy water. Spray flew through the air and then suddenly the head of a darkly colored young wolf would surface. She seemed to have something clutched in her jaws, and that something was putting up a fight! On a whim Amos decided to insert himself into the situation, leaping into the waves without a second thought. He'd have barked a greeting but, he somehow doubted the stranger would hear it.
Ducking under the water he opened his eyes briefly and made out the shape of the shark and wolf with a death grip on it's tail. The salty water stung his eyes so he closed them before swimming closer and chancing a blind bite at the aggravated creature. He managed to sink his fangs into its gills on its right side, quickly lifting the thing towards the surface and stumbling a little closer towards the shore so he could stand while the shark flopped wildly, thrashing in an attempt to free itself. Hopefully the girl who'd grabbed it wouldn't resent the help, Amos just couldn't help himself.
