((We'd like Frostbite to reply after this post but after that regular post order can resume))

Torin was tired, he was stressed, he had a million other things he'd rather be doing right now beyond having to delegate discipline for two kids. "Neither of you are going anywhere." He rumbled, glancing at his nephews. Zell had been quiet the whole time and Torin felt like he was hyper-aware of his father, though his attention was drawn to his sister as soon as she arrived. He watched as she showered her lost children with love and the barest hint of a smile tugged at his lips. Then she turned her gaze on him and he shook his head. "Non." He spoke gently, meeting his sister's gaze. "They're my family too, you don't owe me anything." He was genuine in his refusal.

Then Blaise and Priscilla joined them and the boy went on a tirade; Torin stifled a beleaguered sigh as he heard his nephew rip into CĂ©lestin and Bastyan. But before he could respond his niece chimed in and Torin's brows shot up slightly as he witnessed what was probably the result of many weeks stewing on what was clearly Blaise's normal behavior.

And before he could respond to that his father was suddenly ranting... at a child. Something in Torin shifted as he heard the words flying from Zell's lips. Maybe it was how tired he was, maybe it was the stress, maybe he was sick but his normally impassive facade cracked; his eyes narrowed, lips twitching as his anger bubbled slowly to the surface. Torin rose to his paws, staring with open anger at his father. Zell turned to look at him and asked about Frostbite and for the briefest of moments, he was reminded that the change of rank had yet to be made public.

"You don't have that authority either." He growled, stepping in so that he was placing himself between his father and Jewell and her kids. His gaze was cold as he spoke, his rage only just barely contained. "On my authority as Kaliq these boys will be spared the rank of Girvin." He spoke with as much authority as he could muster, though his anger was not lessened and he emphasized his rank, making it clear where he stood with his father in this instant. "Their punishment will be that for the next three weeks they are to be accompanied by an adult at all times within the pack lands and until they turn a year old they are not to leave the pack lands without accompaniment and permission from both their mother and either me or Frostbite." He flashed a glance really quickly at Blaise as he spoke the next part but directed most of it at his father. "And if anyone has any issues with my decision they can take it up with me personally."

He cast a glance back at his sister, his gaze softening slightly. "For now, they are free to go and rest." Then he turned his attention back towards Zell, his face hardening again. "I also will not stand for anyone needlessly antagonizing anyone else. Especially not from adults who should know better." His family seemed to be drifting away and it tore him up inside to see the family that was still around clashing, but he could not excuse his father for treating a pup that way and much less a woman who had faced so much pain in her life.

He hadn't wanted to pull rank for this, but his anger had been sudden and encompassing. It was a rare sight, in truth, he couldn't remember the last time he'd been this enraged. He stared at his father, almost daring him to challenge him. His posture was that of an alpha, his tail high over his rump and chin tilted upwards. In truth, he hoped Zell would back down but he didn't necessarily trust that would happen.
