Walk | "Agria" | "Kaine" | Think

In a clatter of oversized paws and unending enthusiasm, Mephistopheles came hurtling from the den as fast as his legs could carry him. Mismatched gaze drifted from the cathedral to their son, a warm smile curving upon inky lips. Those brilliant blue eyes stared up at them with all of the innocence and naivete of a fresh young mind. "Where we goin' papa?" their son asked, drinking in his surroundings. None too soon, Agria made herself present. Glancing down to Mephistopheles, they murmured "You will see, be patient." with just as soft an expression as before.

Turning to their beloved, their smile turned teasing. "Mustered up the strength to join us, have you, little pixie?" they rumbled, rising to their feet to greet her properly. Lowering their cranium, the giant would seek to lavish attention and affection upon her glorious, sleep addled features. "Are you ready to start a new chapter, and teach our sons to become great servants to the empire?" they murmured tenderly into her ear, cheek seeking to slide against hers as they spoke. "It will be glorious, my love. Just as they are," attention would fall upon her as they retracted their skull, aiming to look her fully in the eyes. "just as you are." Kaine was enamoured, and would never be anything but reverent towards their lover.

In an explosion of pale amethyst fur and delight, Kefka entered the world. He did not stop or join them, as Mephistopheles had. Rather, he kept racing across the cathedral at top speed. "I'm ganna beat you there!" he screeched in his high pitched puppy voice. Frowning, the beast watched their son venture further and further from their reach. "Kefka!" they bellowed in a warning tone, whirling about to face the direction in which he was hurtling. They took a few long strides after him, closing the distance somewhat. "Get back here, now." It was an order, one of the few they had given over the course of their life. Until now, it had not been their place to tell others where to go or what to do. However, now that they were a parent, they had to whip these little monsters into shape. At least, he had to if they were ever going to be assets to the growing Abraxas empire. Stern expression was turned upon their errant son, lip curling in irritation. The sun had not even fully risen, and yet these two already had the energy to get on their nerves.
