Before they could get very far, Leviathan called out "Hey!" far too loudly. They were upset, not deaf. "Did you not get that I was joking?" he asked, none too kindly. Scowling, the larger wolf looked over their shoulder at him. They squinted for a second, trying just a little to annoy him. This motherfucker. she thought, for no real reason other than that it seemed relevant.

"No, I just thought it might be nice to have a depressive episode right now." They sniped back, auds tipping back on their head. Regardless, they turned back around to face him. They assumed that was his form of an apology. Their older siblings weren't very good at genuine emotions of any kind. "Just because it's winter doesn't mean everything 's dead or some shit." he drawled, drawing them back to the previous conversation. Without hesitating, he made his way towards the gorge. "Come on, let's go."

There wasn't much snow in the gorge, since the winds tended to whip it back out onto flat land as fast as it could fall. Nevertheless, it couldn't be all that safe to head down there willy nilly. With a soft sigh, they trailed after their pale brother. Bonding time was bonding time, and that was what they had been looking for in the first place. Broad paws gripped at the smooth stones underfoot, claws digging into the hard packed earth. "I don't know how much we'll find much down there, Leviathan. Other than a few grinding stones, maybe." they called out hesitantly. Given how miffed he had been by the mere mention of herbs, how upset would he be if they didn't find any down there?
