A breeze wafted through the cathedral and brought to him Serene's scent. Ah, so he'd been on the right trail! Malleus immediately altered course to pursue her. She was surprisingly close; an easy lope would close the distance between them quickly. Malleus was excited about the prospect of getting to know Serene better. He was intrigued by her and he didn't think it was a coincidence that they'd met that day at the castle. No, her interest in the Fallen God and her background made him think their paths had crossed for a reason. She was meant to be among the Abraxas and he was going to do everything in his power to ensure she felt that as strongly as he did. He wanted her to feel like part of the community. He slowed once he reached a newly constructed densite. Serene's scent was everywhere so it had to be hers. Rather than intrude by poking his head inside, Malleus stopped near the entrance and called in. "Serene?" |
