Or maybe he thought she was too weak to make it on her own. She shrugged dismissively. "What does me not being alone have to do with anything? You're free to stick around or...not." Here she was thinking they were talking as equals, but it kinda felt like he thought she was a child in need of a babysitter. The thought annoyed her. She could handle herself. As for the Ancoras...
