Take it out on me

Maybe it was part of her self centered nature, maybe it was the fact she was all too wrapped up in the feeling of hopelessness that she had been swallowed up in right now, or maybe it was simply that she had forgotten at this point. Right now a head long buried in the ground was the furthest from her mind.

"Tell you what?" She asked, her voice so soft he likely wouldn't hear it. Then she said it a second time and this time the words were a scream, the desperation was mingling with anger now, Levi wanted her to tell him something but how the fuck was she supposed to know what it was he wanted her to tell him. "Tell you what Levi?" Mammon stared at him, her teeth gritted.  "How the fuck am I even supposed to know what it is I did wrong if you never fucking talk to me?" Ironic maybe considering her own lack of communication had started this, though she did not know it yet.

"You just start avoiding me out of the blue and never even explain why, you don't even give me the chance to make it up to you." She couldn't keep looking at him, all the pain and all the anger was too much. "Is it always going to be like this? How can I make you happy if you won't even tell me when I fuck up?" Maybe it wasn't healthy, maybe it was downright toxic but this was all Mammon cared about.
