Step back and relax

WThe boy made the older male smile, he couldn’t help but be completely amused by the whole situation. He was even more amused at Bast puffed out his chest and grinned. To be able to let the boy feel so proud of himself made his heart swell with joy. He had always loved kids, taking care of younger cousins as he grew up gave him plenty of time with pups. He still even had hopes of having pups of his own before he grew to old. He could remember when he was Bas’ age and would have the same prideful reaction if an older wolf gave him the opportunity to ambush them. To be that young and carefree again would be amazing.

“Well I’m taking a little break since my duties are finished for the morning. And what about you, you out trying to scare poor old men,” he teased the boy with a light chuckle.

The youth gave him some sudden energy and it was greatly lightening his mood. Maybe Bast would even be up for a little hint or something, but right now Frost was simply enjoying the interaction. He knew though at that age it was hard to sit still for long.
