Elias watched as Miach strolled toward him, growing more and more impatient with every small step that the man took in his direction. Elias' first thought was that none of this was important to him, and although in angered him he did not have it in his heart currently to hate Miach for that. His red eyes narrowed as he focused in on his son's gaze once he was near enough that Elias could make it out. Miach had soft features, making his stare seem.. gentle even with those eyes the same blood red shade as his own. Miach grew up only knowing the endless love Zuriel had to offer during the crucial stages of his development, and Elias could see where this would hiccup his transition into a Ruina lifestyle.

It was disappointing.

He loved his firstborn son more than he knew how to explain or put into words, so just as he would never keep Daelos without her heart in the right place.. he would not keep Miach here, either. The only thing he worried about.. though.. was their influence on the faith that the new Imps were building. So far, his new children seemed interested in their own demons.. and he wanted this to be continued throughout the rest of their life. It had to be.

Miach could not show his depression or lack of interest in front of them and get away with it, he had to know this.

"Miach, it has been months now. Why have you not made any effort at all to complete your rite? You arrived here before Tyranis and yet he has made his way out to the battlefield twice now to get started on his path. Drakan also appeared after you and has done the same. There are others slacking just as well as you, but what bothers me is how interested you appeared to be in all of this at first. What has happened? You must rise from Purgatorian in order to stay here. You are a child of Apollyon and The Demon Mother, but where are your demons? Why have you not found them yet?" He was almost pleading, though there was a.. slight.. tug happening that caused his muscles to twitch in the left side of his face quite visibly. He could feel it, the shift.. it was threatening. Apollyon was angry, and while Elias loved his own son more than anything.. he wasn't sure if Apollyon would understand the same show of mercy Elias wished upon Miach.

Miach had been birthed granted with a demon's soul through the womb of The Demon Mother. That demon's soul was a gift from Apollyon, and he would not let it be lost...

Not an ancient one as strong as what lied in those red eyes. If Miach did not nurture and strengthen the gift he was given as he was expected to, that soul would need to be reclaimed. The power within this boy was obvious, and Apollyon would not accept a loss of that magnitude. Apollyon would find a way, and that feeling itching at all corners of his mind planted thorns beneath his skin as it prickled. Elias was hearing the warning loud and clear. He had to do something.

Elias closed his eyes for just a moment and took a step back, trying to lose focus off of his son for a moment and calm the growing fire behind his own eyes. He would not allow himself to get angry, but he wanted to hear what Miach had to say. He had to try to convince him to step up.
