A titan. A demon. A conquerer. A patriarch. A king. Strong. Fearless.

...fearless.

The weight of eternity seemingly fell on his shoulders and he carried it with apparent ease for so long. It surprised even him, after years spent in isolation out of fear of harming everyone he came into contact with. He thought the jail time might have finally taught him a lesson, taught his demon a lesson.. but there was no teaching a demon.

He could feel his demons now, he could feel his ancestors.. he could feel them all, and it was overwhelming.

He could feel the soul of Katar, strong and demanding that he always remember her.

He could feel the soul of Dae, still trying his damnedest to rip Elias apart and break him down with doubt.

He could feel the souls of his siblings, angry in their death that came all too fast.

He could feel the soul of his father, still mindful even in his death as he watched over them.

He could feel the soul of his mother, finally at peace and reminding him to listen to the desires within his heart.

"I'm still following it," he whispered through clenched teeth there beneath the vines of the willows, his eyes closed as he rested against the tree with stressed breathing. Anxiety tensed every muscle in his being, clutching around his core and causing his chest to tighten. His eyes were whaled, wide and full of.. what was this... fear?

A petrified being is what he was, as sad a truth as it were to admit. He laid on his stomach, neck raised slightly due to his tension as it rested against the trunk of the willow. The behemoth curled into it, begging it to anchor him into reality as his mind slowly slipped into all of those haunting memories. His long forelimbs were straight out ahead of him in the same position they'd been in when he fell. He only hoped he ran far enough away from the pack so that none of them could see him like this while he battled Apollyon for control of his own fate, or the fate of those around him...

Apollyon was growing hungrier, Elias was doing everything he could to strengthen the souls he had promised him.. but..

Elias wasn't a killer anymore. He didn't want to kill them, he wanted to strengthen them.

Please...

"Just give me time," he growled out, his words short on breath as he pressed harder against the bark of the tree, trying his best to feel it against his skin and keep him tied to the natural world around him. He was so close to slipping, so close to losing himself.. and trying his hardest to remain connected to his true heart, his true nature. The nature his father would be proud of. He was growling constantly now, low rumble resonating within his chest though it was so quiet one would have to be relatively close to hear him. Every now and then a surge of strength would rip through him, making him growl out loud until the tide of rage became low once again.

Disclaimer: Elias suffers from schizophrenia and occasionally has violent outbursts.
