Magic of a gift

She'd been told to hide, that she would be hunted tonight. Rather than feeling any fear, the crazy witch scurried through the underbrush of their isle and searched out small places where she could easily hide and dart away later. She did not intend to make it easy for him to find her, there would be no sport in it, so she would use several spots to her advantage. There was hardly any way she could leave him, though now would be the best time to do so. She didn't want to go anywhere, in a strange way, he completed her. Dark crimson stared out from behind her father's skull on her face, watching for any sign of her gargantuan mate.

She knew her birth season had come, but she wasn't entirely aware of the changes her body had been going through. Tonight would be interesting indeed.
