Aging gracefully on the outside

She had been back in Boras for a little time now, slowly making her way towards Lirim, she had gotten word that her younger brother was living within the pack and was hopeful to join the pack. With her trailed two from her youngest litter. There were a few months shy of being a year already and Storm didn't know where the time had truly gone. The two girls were currently asleep in the makeshift den as the aging female decided to take a walk. She moved down to the shore of the lake and for a while walked beside the water, ears listening to the sounds of the summer night.

The sounds helped to put her mind to ease and help the worries of her own hidden condition from surfacing to her mind. The girls hadn't a clue, but the skilled healer knew there was something wrong within her. Lack of appetite and room within her gut paired with the constant exhaustion had led her to experimenting with herbs to treat, nothing had worked and she could just feel that something wasn't right. She felt full even when she hadn't eaten anything all day and sometimes it was even to the point she wanted to vomit to make room. Something was growing within her, something she could not cure and she knew it was only a matter of time. For the most part she still looked like herself aside from the whiteish silver beginning to appear in the areas that used to be black. Mostly is was upon her muzzle and face, but she had some on her toes and legs.

A soft sigh left her grizzled muzzle before she quietly settled on the shore of the lake. She chose to just relax and let herself enjoy the cool summer evening, listening to the crickets and the frogs that thrived around the lake. It was peaceful here and it was enough to ease her mind.
