She let her song fade away, and stood tall and patient in the battlefield, she let her thoughts empty, instead of plaguing her with worries and doubts. She felt the wind her fur, gentle and caressing. When a wolf entered her vision, surprise would take her. The dark form of the wolf wasn’t too different from her own. Black, with silver markings, in different placements to the coat she herself boasted. The markings under his eyes where a dead giveaway for Destruction wolves. It wasn’t until she heard his voice, and looked him in the eye, that she finally realised where he was from. “...Rhyme? No way!” her regal position momentarily forgotten as she lowered her head to give the man a nuzzle. Family. When she thought all of them were lost to her. “Rhythm?” Shaye asked, her voice soft, expecting further bad news, through just seeing Rhyme was enough to lift her spirits and remind her of hope. “What brought you here? Did you answer my song because you recognise my voice.. Or for other reasons.” Abaven needed members. Had he come also because he heard her song and wanted to join? Or was this only a social call. |
