The slate colored male took after both parents, but Rhythm seemed a much heavier influence. She had been with his throughout enslavement, had kept him going through the darkest time of his life and they emerged to the other side. He had always looked up to his father when he was younger, but when he had been unable to save his mother from serious injury and capture he felt like he would never be able to live up to his father's greatness. He couldn't give up though, glory was not what he sought his family's safety would be his priority. A fighter was what Abaven needed and Rhyme was eager to live up to her expectations. He nodded respectfully as he took her assignment, but divulged vaguely what had happened to them. His ears pulled back as he slowed, "She is finally safe." his shame shone through, "We came straight to old Imperium lands to find my father, she is with him." Rhythm had been happier than he had seen her since before their ordeal when Valentine had wrapped her in his arms. "She went through so much." he tried not to think of his half siblings that had been forced upon her in captivity. |
