Now I gotta wake it up, the devil in me

Everything sucked and Cael was pretty sure if she laid eyes on anyone she was gonna punt them into the next land over just for existing. Having never really had to deal with major emotions like this, it would be reasonable to say that life right now as completely overwhelming her in every way possible and she wasn't really... Handling it well. For the last few days she'd just been curled up in an empty den at the edge of the territory. It was a great place to sulk and cry till your body hurt cause, surprise surprise, nobody in Abaven did anything. There was no way anyone was gonna stumble in and find her.
It took ages of looking on and off, but eventually Caelestis had found Caelum's faint scent far from home. After trailing her mother for some time and wondering what on earth the woman had been doing so far away for so long, the last thing Cael had expected was to find herself at a dead end where the earth smelled faintly but unmistakably like death. It was impossible to tell where the actual body was, but frankly she wasn't sure she wanted to find out. Discovering that her mother was gone had hit hard. Harder than anything else ever had. It was worse since she still didn't actually know where Zephyr was. Did he find Caelum?
Wiping her reddened eyes, Caelestis took a shuddering breath and tried to compose herself in the darkness where she lay. Her stomach growled louder than she'd ever managed herself. Food. Yeah, that was a thing. If only it would come find her. For a while she didn't move, but hunger was a powerful motivator and soon she couldn't stand laying there any longer so she swiftly jumped to her paws and exited the den to go in search of a quick meal she could bring back to her mourning spot.
True to form, Cael wasn't particularly difficult to knock off course and soon found herself trailing an unfamiliar scent outside the borders. The stranger smelled of Abaven but honestly Cael couldn't remember the face that went with it. If the other woman had been to any meetings she clearly didn't make much of an impression, huh? At least, not on Caelestis. Still, it was something different to distract herself with and that was an opportunity that was hard to pass up. When she finally got close to the other girl who didn't seem too different in age from herself, no time was wasted before sauntering over. Trying not to look like someone who was deeefinitly crying her eyes out a few hours ago, she'd lift her dark head high and look as aloof as possible.
Eyeing the other woman, Cael found that she was acting and talking before she even thought the words through. "Who're you, I don't remember you. Are you going with that piece of shit, Archon?" Yeah, the words just like, came out. She didn't even normally describe the Abraxas man that way in her head - wow.

Cael has facial scars not seen in all of her art yet!
