The sound of paws on soft earth getting closer alerted her to the presence of the stranger before anything else. One of her white-tipped ears flicked in his direction and when he got close she swept her critical gaze over him for a moment before scoffing. "Hey yourself." Deciding whether the fact that he seemed to have been steeped in unearned confidence was irritating or amusing was no easy task. Cael knew even before she pulled herself to a standing position that the man was shorter than her. That fact alone elicited a faint hint of a smirk.

"Is that your way of asking for help, or did you just wanna open with the fact that you're new and directionally challenged?" she chuckled, raising a brow as she met his multicolored gaze and rocked back into a bow to stretch out the tense muscles of her shoulders.
