Do as you please

it took a lot for him to actually be upset with someone. and sadly, if she was looking for a rise, she wouldn't get it. she was so far down his radar right now that it didn't matter what she said. she could tell him he looked like a fish - that was the politest wording he could use without swearing - and he still would grin. instead of anger at her words, offenses and all, the young man barked laughter. "directionally challenged! that's a new one. props for that" Puck sneered in good humor. did he care that she also looked at him as if gloating her size? well, that really didn't matter to him either. he was as his folks made him. it was their fault he was shorter than the lady, and he had been raised to respect his parents. no venom was toward them.
oh boy. this one was a little spitfire, eh? aside from the fact she was pretty, she had quite the little tongue on her. that much was clear. he could say what he liked and she'd give a sharp reply back. that was also certain. "can't it be both?" he added with a tilt of his head "I mean, why the hell can't you say I'm both clueless and lost?" he was too cheerful to be insulted by some random person. a person he'd probably never, ever see again. nope, life was worth living and not fretting over. his poor sensitive man feelings were too guarded to be taken down a notch. he also wasn't going to beg for help, so if she was looking for that, she'd be out of luck. Puck glanced away, chuckling to himself. " and as a less clueless and lost person, are ya gonna put up with me askin' some stupid-ass questions? or should I look somewhere else, eh?"
