He was concentrated on the careful digging, not wanting to break or ruin anything that may be buried underneath the soil. He remembered when he was to excited about his treasure hunting, as a kid there was always slip ups and broken treasures that became nothing but a useless trinket for him to hoard. Now that he was a little older and had well thought out plans he had to be more slow, more delicate in how he found his treasures. Some broke easier then others and if it was something really shiny and pretty he didn't want to scratch it either. The earth seemed somewhat damp, he must have missed a nice rain overnight while he was sleeping peacefully in his den.
Before long another's voice called out and he paused his process, ears perked and head turning in the direction of the call. A strange male was not to far from him asking what he was searching for. He already showed the signs of being friendly, which made Branch's friendly smile spread across his face. His tail wagged to further show that he was a friendly being.
"Buried treasures. This place is full of them!" he called back. "Wanna help?"
Branch had no problem being around others, in fact since winter he had been craving more and more interaction. His large family had always been around him, but when he left that was all gone.
