One For The Money

“I’ll answer your challenge.” He rumbled, sounding more like his father than he ever had before. “I’ll give you the first move.” He said then began setting his defenses. He kept his legs spread, his weight distributed evenly on his paws. He was much larger than the challenger and therefore found it in his better interest to keep his head raised. He narrowed his eyes and lifted his lip in a snarl, raising his nose and parting his jaws less than halfway. He rolled his shoulders back slightly to brace his chest and stood his fur on end to add a heightened layer of protection to his neck and scruff. His tail stood arched over his back, like a war banner, the sinew muscles tensed, bracing for a potential and very possible bite.
