Circe took long, purposeful strides towards Abaven land with Gwydion curled between her shoulder blades. Upon returning to Boreas she'd learned that Archon had gotten his paws on a pack. This, she decided, warranted a visit before she returned to The Risen Empire. She was curious to see how Archon ran things. If she had her guess whatever structure he'd come up with was a bit different than the typical Abraxas fare. He'd never really been gung ho about the whole conquest thing. Neither had she, for that matter. Some, like Malleus, seemed happy to do as their forefathers had done while others, such as herself, preferred using the carrot over the stick. She couldn't speak for Archon, but she suspected he might be somewhere in the middle. Her musings were cut short at the border. Circe lowered her head and snuffed at one of the rocks. Archon's scent was there alright, but it was buried under a stronger odor. It was clear that some time had passed since he'd last marked the border and that struck her as odd. The border was thick with the scents of others so it was clear that a pack still called this place home. Why then was his scent fading? Circe mused over the unusual development for a moment. Perhaps her brother was sick and unable to tend his borders. Or maybe he'd been overthrown. After gently placing Gwydion on the ground between her forepaws, the giantess sat back on her haunches to consider the possibilities. If it was something like the former then she wanted to be there to tend to him and if it was something like the latter then she was duty bound to suss out the fate of her brother and alert the rest of the family. Her mind made up, Circe howled for Archon. She didn't think he'd answer, but for now she would play dumb and see where that got her. |
