Enrico didn't make it a habit of following his members when they left pack lands, but he'd come across Cepheus' trail as he himself had been out hunting in the lower parts of the north, and kept encountering it as he'd quartered southward after prey so he'd had a fairly good idea which direction the trail was going. The young would-be warrior seemed to be making a beeline for the battlefield, which piqued Enrico's interest enough that he left off hunting and turned to follow the trail this time instead of turning away from it. He did need to test Cepheus for the journeyman rank, and while he wasn't a believer in simply using a fight to test them it was certainly a large part of it, and he'd already been teaching the young man the wider knowledge base that a pack warrior should have. It certainly was time to see how he did in a fight. He moved quietly along the battlefield until the track ended with Cepheus and another already meeting. He settled to his belly to watch, sphynx-like, carefully crossing his forepaws in a relaxed posture to make it clear to the stranger that he was not there to interfere. He could imagine that it would be unnerving to have your opponent's packmates hanging out during a fight, always wondering if they were going to jump you, so he sought to make it clear he was there simply to observe. He was glad that he and Asriel had parted ways earlier in their hunting, though - the big cat could be intimidating for those who didn't know him.
