Our Future within the Young Eyes

Fawn was excited today! She bounced around her siblings and yipped excitedly as she flopped out of the den after her father. He said they were going to a meeting, and while she had absolutely no idea what that meant, she was excited anyway! She bounded alongside her father for a bit until they got to where they were going. She moved to sit between his forelegs, tail wagging as she waited for the others to join her. Her father howled for the pack, and the girls oversized ears perked up as she watched with wide eyes. It didn't take too long before a brightly colored creature showed up and sat far from them. Her eyes grew wide as she stared, what was that? Was that a wolf? She'd never seen anything so brightly colored that wasn't a bug or a bird! Was she half butterfly or something? "Daddy! Is that a wolf? Why does it look so different? Is it part butterfly? Or bird? Is it a butterbird!?" If her words were rude, she hadn't meant them to be. But she wanted to know how someone got so colorful! Was it paint? She needed to know!
