I'm Taking This Loop Off

Clunk. Perhaps the wolf was a bit out of her league, navigating a harsh environment such as this when wandering with a distinct goal in mind. Small paws and hardened pawpads tiptoed across the dangerous environment, coppery-brown orbs moving and narrowing upon sights of particularly sharp patches of volcanic rock. Breath baited, she kept alert, Aske intending to and attempting to spot any threats or clifffalls long before she ever neared them. Summer and volcanic activity never added up quite well, the large wolf constantly seeking a cooler route to travel. A single destination was in the ash-furred female's mind; a bird's-eye perch, a place to visualize travel routes for future wandering and to mentally map out the new terrain. Her nose was still untrained, after all; she'd have to use all of her senses to navigate successfully. The time of day was not the best for such scouting, but Aske has taken it upon herself to do it anyways. Another attempt at smelling, or perhaps a twitch of a perked ear, or perhaps the sight of movement drew her attention to the fact of others nearby. Either way, she wasn't close enough to be seen as a threat; hopefully, she wasn't anywhere near close enough to be pursued, if suddenly chased. Aske opened and closed her mouth, lowering her head as she edged backwards, closer to what might be considered an emergency path of retreat. The wolf played the part of a bystander for now, eyes scanning to see the reactions between the two, trying to assess if the situation nearby might be one worth approaching, or one where the risks outweighed the rewards. actions "speech" |
