Our Future within the Young Eyes

Novel had followed Ara to the pack she now called home. She hadn’t been sure what to really expect after their long journey. Of course they had taken their time, enjoying the sights and each other’s company like they hadn’t been able to do for many years. Novel felt the weight of her age, knowing it would likely be her last big trek. The destination would eventually reach them, and instead of having a one on one meeting Novel realized she would be introduced at a pack meeting. Seemed like as good a time as any.

With what she assumed was the alpha’s call Ara’s was quick to follow, and though they’d been separated for a short time she rushed to find her mate’s side again. Ara was near, and with a little more effort than she wished to exert Novel would be reunited. Already her mate had found her place at the meeting and Novel, after looking around for only a moment, would come to sit down close beside her. Hopefully she wouldn’t cause too much of a fuss, surely a small old healer was no cause for alarm. Of course her medicine bag and Elohim were attached her to as well.

She nuzzled Ara quickly before deciding where her blue eyes should focus, all the wolves around her were unfamiliar.
