Trippin' on skies

The Viking woman couldn't help her curiosity as she watched the wolf across the water. No words would be spoken between them, but both seemed to study the other. Enough distance lingered between them that spoken word might ruin the quiet of the night. With the fireflies all around her and the soft echo of an owl in the forest behind Eislief might have thought herself in Fólkvangr. But no, life still beat through her veins.
Eislief continued to observe the woman, holding herself at the ready. She looked not of the northern kind, but still held a strength that hinted she had been through her own ordeals. The Finnvi felt a bit of a shock go through her as the opposite she wolf entered into the chilling waters of the lake. She felt an amused smile creep over her features as she took her own few steps to the edge of the water.
Their eyes met then, and Eisleif was sure the other woman wished her to join in the midnight swim. With only a few moments debating herself Eis decided and dipped her coal black toes into the water, keeping he eyes on the other she wolf the whole time. With a final internal push she let herself slip fully into the water.
Her plush coat was soaked, but much like wool she remained warm despite the wetness. Remaining silent her paws tread the water to bring her more near the cinnamon woman. She felt loathe to disturb the silence as she swam closer, curiosity still evident on her features.
