The raging sun of the mid afternoon beamed downward at the beast. It was not the heat he would succumb to but the blazing burn that was begin to form upon his upper back and rear. It was time for the beast to find shade until the sun fell and the moon began her reign. Thus, the albino male slithered his way into the beautiful forest before him. A slight phosphorus scent made its way into his nose as he neared the hot springs. The earth was dampened which gave his delicate pink pads a much needed break from harder ground. The thick canopy above provided plenty of shade for Hannibal to hide beneath for the time being. The beast slinked his way deeper into the forest until he found the springs themselves. Pools of hot, bubbling, water came into his eager gaze. A gentle smile slipped across his two-toned lips as he began to move between the pools. Pink and blue eyes eyed each pool of water, it seemed they all varied in depth and heat. Some seemed to bubble more then others which showed there was more gas being emitted.

Hannibal finally settled near a more shallow and less abrasive pool near the outskirts of the area. He decided to plop down at the edge of the water with his belly to the ground. The slender head of the partially-albino babe flicked around in curiosity. The smells of gas and nature itself was an easy distraction to any newcomers or prey. Therefore the male kept his wits about him while still attempting to relax before another long journey in the evening.
