She had begun to venture a bit away from the only water source she knew existed in this land - hell, she couldn't stay there forever. Well, she could, but did she want to? Not really. Especially with that pack nearby, it would only be a matter of time before one of their wolves came by and kicked her in the ass to get a move on. Perhaps she was being a bit dramatic; they seemed like a jolly bunch judging from their leader. That didn't do much for her nerves, though. She enjoyed the solitude even if it did get lonesome at times. Everest couldn't see herself, she thought as she traveled through the woodwork of trees and followed a specific scent of steam and phosphorus, ever following someone again. It just didn't sit well with her - being commanded to do things against her better nature. At the thought, her skin bubbled in agitation beneath her fur, a huff falling from her, ears flattening against her skull. Her yellow eyes scanned the soil with each step she took, and to her surprise, as she continued her trek, it became softer. The hard terrain softened and as her eyes narrowed: it was just like what the land did back at that other lake. Had she gone in a damn circle? An almost-groan nearly escaped her cavernous mouth before being abruptly shut down when she exited the confines of the trees. Water - but not the water. The groan turned into a sigh, her fur flattening from previous thoughts as curiosity forged in the crevices of her mind. Ears pivoting forward, Everest was baffled at the fact that there was heat emanating from the water; steam too. This land was so fucking weird. Slowly, she trotted towards the bank and let the water brush against her front paws. Warm. Blinking in surprise, she shifted her weight and began to walk deeper. She hadn't noticed the stranger.
