If she was a frog, the girl would have leapt nearly twenty feet and that was a generous amount. But she was not, in this case, she was not a toad. Instead, she visibly flinched and her fur rocketed up against her spine causing her fur (the parts that weren't wet) to appear far more thicker than a few moments ago. At the words, she snapped her head to the origin of the voice so quickly that she nearly gave herself whip-lash. For a good minute or two she seemed too stunned for words, her jaw unhinging and, if it weren't connected to tendons and muscle, would have fell into the water with a sickening splash. She slowly turned completely around to face him, ears splaying on either side of her head as she snapped out of her vulnerable state of shock. Her brain was deciding on whether to retreat deeper into the water, remain where she was or get out and face up to him. Everest settled on the latter. Alright, smooth stuff, she could do ever better. Her half-wet tail slung at the back of her back, perhaps spraying him with droplets of water, a silly grin playing on her lips as she walked towards him, water splashing as she moved through the weight of the heated waters. As she reached the shore, the girl then shook out her fur purposely onto him, though, she still stood a good few feet away. As she finished, she shrugged her shoulders and tossed him an feigned innocent smile. "Sorry," She mused slowly, leaning closer by stretching out her neck, "What was that?" |
