Things had changed while she was gone. Packs were springing up like weeds, and others still seemed to fade away. She never really paid much attention to the packs except for their locations so she could avoid them. Recently though, she had been feeling more tired than usual. Silence and loneliness were all well and good for a time...and during that time, it was just her and Rhava. She had kept to herself for years, but now it was all about to change. Rhava had managed to convince her to check out one of the nearby packs, and that was exactly what she did. The nearest was a pack unknown to her, and she unknown to them. Nobody knew who she was. All her family was gone. Just as she expected. Not that it mattered to her because she seemed to do everything in her power to avoid them. She despised her father and hoped that he had died in a ditch somewhere, alone and suffering. She couldn't quite say the same for her siblings. She loved them, but not as much as she wished she did. At least she didn't hate them though. That was a start, right?
Stopping a few feet from the borders, she would glance at her companion for a moment. She wasn't sure why she did that...all she got was a silent, stern stare. Returning her gaze to the pack lands, she stood quietly for what felt like a long time. She hadn't been in a pack for years. She hadn't really talked to anyone during that time save for the chance encounters. All she knew now was fighting and surviving. Maybe that's why she was so tired...she was just living to survive.
Eyelids slid over her golden gaze as she almost thought about turning back and forgetting this whole thing. But something kept her rooted to that spot. It's now or never... With her eyes still closed, she raised her head and howled for someone...anyone, to find her. And hopefully they got there before her mind told her to bolt.
"Too bad we almost made it."
