Just a taste was all he needed. A single drop. That tantalizing aroma coaxed him further North than he had ever intended to go. Valkorion was a flame both physically and mentally, he chased away the bitter cold and did his best to shy from it when he could. Something, no someone, very alluring had him breaking his rules. As his journey continued, the scent thickened as the air cooled. The bitterness that the North brought with it started to seep into his skin. It penetrated his very core and the Red Man grew sullen. Those memories, those wounds, still so fresh and left to fester in the back of his mind bubbled up, with every inhale.

The murderer stood before looming giants. Their arms stretched out and intertwined with one another in an endless embrace. They leaned on one another, braced one another, and supported one another. This flooded his mind with something so humorous that it brought a wry smile to his muzzle. He hacked out a brooding laugh. "Trees," it came in a whisper, "Trees!" and then a scream, "are a better family than my own." A scornful laugh burst from him before he spat at heated 'tsk'. It would have sounded ironic to his half-siblings, for all they knew he was the only trader. The only one who wasn't a peach.

Valkorion begrudgingly pushed through the mockery of branches. He took note of how the life around him stuck to their twisting features and he was reluctant to follow their lead. It was not until he was deep in the shadows of the trees that he finally took their advice. His talons dug into the bark, peeling it back as he steadied himself. The branches were broad, sturdy, and surprisingly easy to navigate through. The predator had a new hunting ground.

After a few hours of wandering through the woodlands, he picked up another familiar scent. "Ignatius!" He growled the name. He was under the impression that his thrown-stealing brother had perished in the deserts of their homeland. He was both angered and exhilarated by this news. From the smell of things, Ignatius had soaked the land somewhere nearby. Valkorion felt it best to keep himself from his brother's territory, for now. He needed more information and the bitch he was searching for would give it just as soon as he found her. "Come out, come out, wherever you are..." the monster's voice hissed.

"Let the darkness sleep"

Evil characters do evil things. Be warned, you thread with a psychopath; anything is possible.
