Birds of a Feather

This land was supposed to be one where beautiful and rare birds could be found. Obi had suggested visiting it before Winter in search of some birds to steal the feathers of. With the feathers, they could make decorations for the church or even adornments for the Fallen Band members to wear.
Archon had to agree that decorations and adornments sounded appealing, although he wasn't sure brightly colored feathers were the way to go. He thought perhaps other things to show off God's power might be called for. Like the dark, hole-filled rocks that loomed around Mount Volkan.
He couldn't deny that the birds here were beautiful, however. The view was almost breathtaking. As he came upon a large tree in the middle, he craned his neck upwards to hone in on the rustling above. A large variety of birds had come to roost on the large tree. Birds of nearly every color and size. Archon had to step back just to see the edges of the tree.
He knew there was no way of reaching these birds, but he felt inclined to- pulled to- just observe. He reclined and sat back to simply watch.
