After ensuring Epitaph was tucked away safely, Odysseus answered his alpha's call. He arrived on the scene in time to catch the tail end of the stranger's monologue. It was just enough for him to answer several questions he'd been considering since Epitaph had been found.

Without a word he ghosted up beside Rhyme and stood at the ready; a calm yet minacious presence. Had he the authority he'd have force claimed the flesh peddler on the spot for no other reason than to undermine the machismo he exuded. Doing so would have stopped whatever threat the male posed immediately so he could only hope Rhyme had the sense to either do it or pass the task off to him.
