Ashes to ashes

Somehow they had gotten mixed up, turned around, and heading back within the wrong direction. They went from Wolfpaw lake and traveled to Fern Gulley instead of heading towards Lirim. The borders of Celestial had the young wolverine all screwed up in guiding his elder companion to where she desperately wanted to go. He had figured it out too and when he did they immediately stopped. Eli had wanted to recalculate and continue on, but Storm needed a rest so they had settled into the gulley to rest for a few days before trying once more to get to Lirim. Storm was resting in a soft patch of grass while Eli decided to go hunting nearby. She was relaxed and letting her ears take in the sounds of the territory to drown out her thoughts.

She was almost dozing before the howl of her daughter reached her ears, making her sit right up. Was it really Cyclone? Was Chin with her? She was howling for Storm or Thora and Storm did not want to keep her daughter waiting for a reply. So she lifted her head and let out a long howl in reply. She left it go long enough that Cyclone should be able to figure out which direction she needed to go to get to her. She knew it would be a lot easier and quicker for Cyclone to navigate to her verses the other way around. She felt her heart and her stomach flutter as she thought of Chin being with Cyclone. How it would be so nice to have him here with her.
