Icy toes and Ice Floes

Against her better judgement Circe had ventured north. She'd left her cold-blooded companion behind and missed him terribly. The little cobra made for good company and a useful prop in her more mystical performances, but the cold of the north was simply terrible for him and he would be more of a hindrance than a help.

She now walked along a ridge with a fat white rabbit swinging from her jaws. Already plans were forming for her to bed down for the night with a nice rabbit supper to warm her. But...

Circe spied the thin dark shape moving swiftly towards her as she topped a ridge and immediately changed gears. She dropped the rabbit and placed a paw on it to keep it from sliding away. "Greetings, stranger. I didn't think I'd see anyone this far north."
