He had brought the new slave to the thickets as instructed, debating on whether or not he should let the male use one of the dens he had initially dug out for him and his family to use, or just force the male to sleep outside. Making the male sleep outside when winter came was extremely tempting. It's not like he deserved anything more than that, right? No shelter. No freedom. That's something that the slavers were doing to the slaves, he was sure. He sat nearby, watching Vlad until Ignis bounded over. His nephew whispered to him, telling him that Shaye was looking for him and that he'd take over watching the prisoner. Ace trusted Ignis, but he wondered if the boy was capable of such a task. Well, only way to find out was by doing, right? So he nodded to Ignis, cautioning the boy to keep his wits about him before he took off.

He followed Ignis' trail back to where he had just come from, finding Shaye at the end of it. Crimson gaze settled on her, losing some of the intensity from earlier. "I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that Ignis is guarding that man. Either Ignis will do as instructed, or probably pester him to death before we get the chance to interrogate him." He chuckled a bit, knowing that Ignis was probably dying to heckle Vlad to death. Or, he would sit there and keep a close eye on him to prove he was capable of anything asked of him. Both Actaea and Ignis were smart and willing to learn and please. He approached, a nod of greeting offered to her. "Either way, rest assured that he won't be causing any trouble here. Not unless he wants another beating."
