The female wolf acted like Leonce’s introduction was wrong. This confused the young male, weren’t introductions supposed to be polite? Did this wolf dislike his gesture of politeness? Not good at hiding his emotions his confusion shone clearly on his face. How could one be polite without starting off with a proper introduction?
As the words of the female reached his ears he became even more confused. Was there even such a thing as a stranger? Leonce was used to treating everyone as if they were his friend, after all once you introduced yourself they weren’t a stranger anymore. The whole manner of this woman confused him. Talking about strangers in a strange voice with strange albeit pretty strands of gold. No introductions and no courtesy, who was this crude woman?
Leonce began to work up a reply but where to start, should he come back with a comment on her lack of politeness or her way of talking? Or perhaps a true answer to her question? He decided he would try do do all three at once “Well that’s a rather rude way to start a conversation, at least try to make it so I don’t have to try to understand you. Strangers don’t exist once they’re met.” Satisfied with his reply he placed a smile on his face and sat down right where he stood. Complimenting himself on his flawless command of language, the man was pleased if nothing else.
