Leera can't help but to frown; it's clear to her how much Thora's brother means to her, and this news has upset her to the point where she's in silent disbelief. The girl doesn't say much to Leera at this point, and for a split second Leera feels guilty for making things worse with her manipulative words, but in the end she swallows this feeling and continues with her agenda.
"I know you don't understand, little dove. Nobody would," she cooes into Thora's ear, the end of her tail flicking with intent. "But you must know that I'm the one here for you now. We share blood now, in a way. And I don't throw away my blood like Tyranis does." Leera hopes that Thora sees her as family, or that she will come to seeing it that way. Leera can play the nice, motherly aunt role. There is nothing against Thora, in fact, Leera finds her rather lovable, but she wants her on her side.
