Ace had been incredibly busy juggling his duties as the lead warrior and guarding his prisoner. Today, he left his prisoner in the care of another so he could go and get some needed alone time. His fox kits had been left in the pack, now old enough to wander themselves and he instructed them to stay within pack borders or they wouldn't get dinner. The threat worked...especially considering the growing fox kits loved to eat, and they weren't about to risk their dinner. He headed out alone to the small islands nearby, the titan male swimming easily from one beach to the next until he was on the main island. It was...pretty here. He could hear the calls of exotic birds in the air and caught glimpses of other tree dwellings critters. He walked along a path that led into the trees, crimson gaze spotting fruits and nuts and all sorts of things around him.
He was fascinated with this part of the land, though when a breeze swept through he was reminded about the waters chill. Luckily he hadn't spent too much time in the water to get to the main island, so he sat down and began to dry himself. As he groomed his fur, an odd sound caught his attention. Ears jerked forward and he stopped what he was doing to investigate. Something was nearby and whatever it was sounded distressed. Moving forward, he pushed past some foliage until he saw a young black monkey creature on the ground, obviously frightened and confused. Just like with his fox kits, his fatherly instinct kicked in and he carefully drew closer to the little macaque. "Hey there little one. I'm not going to hurt you, i'm here to help. " He coaxed, hoping the little beast wouldn't run.
To his surprise, the young monkey darted up his leg and perched itself behind his shoulders, gripping tightly as it snuggled into his fur. Well it seemed he had a knack for quickly gaining the trust of baby animals. With the monkey safely on his back, he moved on to see if maybe its parents were around. Though he had a doubt that they weren't... especially considering it looked abandoned for some time.
