It might have taken Chaos a moment, but he finally got the idea of what Ash was hinting at. It wouldn't have been as easy for him to sever the spinal chord of the cat as it was for Chaos to take the neck shot. And in his half-hungover state, he didn't really love the idea of struggling to bite through the back of some cat beast while his head was throbbing.

Eventually, the cat fell and Ash let go, spatting out some fur.
